Taking a pause
I hope you find ways to pause, reflect, and prioritize your well-being during this season.
I hope you’re all enjoying a peaceful and joyful holiday season. After spending Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends, I was reminded of what truly matters most to me. It’s easy to get caught up in chasing success and seeking external validation, but at the end of the day, the connections I share with loved ones—and the work I do on my personal growth and health—always rise to the top.
As I reflect on this past year, I feel proud of the time I’ve dedicated to introspection. This year has been about taking a closer look at my values, unlearning negative patterns, addressing parts of my past and understanding of masculinity that needed healing, and envisioning the future I want to create. This journey hasn’t just been personal—it’s also shaped how I think about the direction of this newsletter.
I have so many ideas brewing, and I’m genuinely excited about what’s ahead. But in the spirit of the holiday season, I’ve decided to take a step back for the rest of the month. This pause is an intentional choice to reflect more deeply and to cherish time with my loved ones. My mind is often focused on work, but it feels right to pause, regroup, and lean into the values I strive to uphold.
You won’t receive a newsletter for the next few weeks, but I want to assure you that my commitment to this project hasn’t wavered. In fact, stepping away temporarily aligns perfectly with the message I aim to promote—healthy masculinity that prioritizes community, connection, and balance. To put work before those values right now would feel disingenuous.
I’ll return in the new year feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to share new plans for this newsletter. Until then, I hope you, too, find ways to pause, reflect, and prioritize your well-being during this season. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season filled with love, rest, and connection.
